Brief: Design an interactive digital magazine for the urban cycling community using the Adobe InDesign Digital Publishing Suite (DPS).
Approach: When approaching this brief I wanted to design an interface that could be easily adapted for future issues of the publication. The minimal colour palette and refined imagery used throughout provide consistency and give the publication an urban and contemporary feel. In keeping with the topic of this particular edition, bike customisation, I decided to create a collage to be used for the background artwork of the home page. The custom nature and rough, handmade look of the collage embodies the aesthetic of today's cycling culture and the close link between bike culture, art and design.
